With school starting soon I thought I would share a recipe that I sometimes have while she gets ready for school. Being that I usually don't have time for breakfast until I get back home from dropping Jasmine off, this is a fast and easy eye opener to get your morning started.
Booster Sunrise Smoothie1 cup orange juice
1 banana, cut in chunks
1 cup low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt
1/2 cup Egg Beaters egg substitute (Liquid Eggs found in the Dairy Case)
1. Combine ingredients in a blender. Serve.
Serves 2.

That's briliant! I've got a little one here who will NOT eat breakfast - but she will drink smoothies. I'll give yours a try!
ReplyDeleteHealthy and sound yummy!
ReplyDeleteSounds good! I will have to make it someday when Shaylee is on breakfast strike, she would always drink a smoothie!
ReplyDeleteI would've never thought to put Egg Beaters in a smoothie, but what a great way to sneak that in for Snuggle Bug. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your numerous plugs for my Five Ingredient Friday recipe exchange. That made me smile. :)
We're transitioning from baby food to big boy food here so I plan to make this for my little grandson. Very clever way to make sure he's getting the nutrition he needs.
ReplyDeleteVery similar to the Dannan smoothie I posted today :) I love smoothies! Wouldn't have thought of adding in the egg beaters! Great way to sneak in some healthy foods!
