I love fridays, I just know that I'll be using my printer for all the wonderful recipes being shared around blogland.
If you don't believe me, go on over to Overwhelmed with Joy and check out the recipes that other wonderful ladies are posting. BE prepared though, I know you'll be licking your lips at the delicious dishes.
So here is mine today, another crockpot/slow cooker one. I know, I know, I share a lot of them, but especially with Fall just around the corner, my slow cooker is brought out of hiding and begins it's long months of working, at least a few times a week, if not everyday.
I found this recipe a long time ago, online, the kids love it.
Cheesy Crockpot Tortellini
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 lb. Italian sausage
* 26 oz. jar pasta sauce
* 14 oz. can diced tomatoes with Italian seasonings, undrained
* 9 oz. pkg. refrigerated cheese tortellini
* 1 cup shredded pizza cheese OR grated Parmesan cheese
PREPARATION:
Cook sausage in heavy skillet over medium heat until browned, about 10 minutes. Stir sausage frequently to break up as it cooks. Drian well and place in 4-5 quart slow cooker. Add pasta sauce and tomatoes and stir well.
Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours. Then stir in tortellini, cover again and ccook on low for 30-40 minutes until pasta is tender and heated. Sprinkle with cheese and let stand 5 minutes before serving. 4 servings
Sounds delicious. We love pasta around here, and I love the crockpot.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious, I'll be sure to try it. Although, I must admit I'll be using Oronzo's homemade maranara sauce instead of a jar of pasta sauce. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing and thanks for participating in my Five Ingredient Friday recipe exchange!
We tried this for dinner tonight. It was a great hit!
