Who doesn't like a hot out of the oven gooey cinnamon roll drizzled in maple icing or vanilla, whichever you like?
That's what was for breakfast today and oh does my house smell like Fall.....
CINNAMON ROLLS
1 loaf frozen white bread dough, thawed in refrigerator
flour, for dusting surface
Filling:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbls ground cinnamon
2/3 stick butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to form a 15-in. x 7-inch rectangle.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Spread 2/3 cup softened butter over dough and then evenly sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Cream Cheese Icing:
1 stick unsalted butter,softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix ingredients with an electric mixer. Spread evenly over warm rolls.
Those look amazing! I've never thought to use frozen bread dough. I'm going to have to try this recipe this weekend
ReplyDeleteAren't the maple flavored cinnamon rolls the best? Last time I made them we were out of vanilla so I substituted maple and they were delicious.
ReplyDeleteMmmm... I can smell them from here! I make cinnamon rolls once a year... for Christmas morning. We always look forward to them with a good cup of coffee.
