This is such an easy Portuguese meal to prepare but the taste is AMAZING. My kids absolutely love it, they oooh and aaahhh constantly while eating. Give it a try, don't let the beer scare you off, you won't taste it when the chicken is ready. So this is how I make mine:
Frango com Cerveja - Chicken w/ Beer
olive oil
1
chicken, cut up
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
salt and pepper
garlic powder
1 bottle of beer
2 cups of water
1/2 bottle of heavy whipping cream (8 oz)
In a large skillet, add a little bit of olive oil and the chicken. Cook for a few minutes until the chicken is browned on both sides.
Add the onions and the seasonings, the beer and the water.

ReplyDeleteSounds delicious, but I'm still hoping to see recipes for the Carne Jardineira, roasted turkey thighs and potatoes, and the beef with chourico and homemade potatoes that you had in your last menu plan. Please, please, please. :-)
