This is how I make mine, it's so quick and easy and they gobble it up.
All I'm using today are the strawberries, bananas and apples I have on hand.....but usually I add whatever fruit is in season, oranges, kiwis, watermelon etc.
FRUIT SALAD
Wash the strawberries, remove the stem and cut them into chunks
Thinly slice the bananas, add them to the strawberries
Wash and core the apples, cut them into small cubes and add to the bowl
Now I sprinkle a good amount of sugar over the top and give it a good stir. You can check to see if it's sweet enough for you, if not, add more sugar
At the end I pour about a cup of orange juice over the fruit salad, cover it up and set it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to get nice and cold. Enjoy!
I was cruising around looking for blogs about kid food and just found yours. Your pics are terrific and I like how easy and kid-friendly your recipes are. But instead of just appreciating them and moving on, I had to leave a comment on your fruit post. I live in SNOWY, COLD Wisconsin where WINTER is lingering way TOO long. I have been craving fruit. Last week I craved it so much I made a fruit salad, photographed it in the snow on our deck and posted the pics on my blog, Edible Antics - Having Fun With Food. But unwilling to pay high winter prices for fresh strawberries, I used frozen ones in my fruit salad. Of course, yours look much more delicious. Your pics make me think of spring, and I need the happy thoughts to make it through March. Thanks, Cristie
